BANING INDIAN FILMS IN PAKISTAN
After the ban in Indian cinema’s on
Pakistani actors, Pakistani cinema owners and stake holders have decided to ban
the Indian movies in Pakistani cinemas for indefinite time, in order to stand
up with our soldiers and Pakistani actors working in India.
A cinema manager in Lahore said that “last
year 15 Pakistani movies were released and 4 movies of them only worked. There
are 52 weeks in a year. One movie works for a week and a block buster works for
maximum two weeks. In this condition the remaining 48 weeks are empty.”
More than 60% of the income in the cinemas
is generated from the Bollywood movies; but this decision is taken in
retaliation to the wrong propaganda of Indian government and stake holders.
Dignity and prosperity of the country is
more important than any other business matter or benefit. Indian’s should
remember that Pakistan is the world third largest market of the Indian movies
in the world. Banning on Pakistani celebrities means no loss for Pakistan but
loss for India.
Cinema managers in Karachi say that they
have banned on the new released Indian movies; but the movies of past year are
still on screen.
A cinema manager in Rawalpindi said many
of the customers are visiting cinemas to watch Hollywood and local movies.
Few of the masters of showbiz are not in
favor of banning Indian movies because they think it can ignite more hatred
between the both countries and already both countries are in sensitive condition.
